Short Story Submission

Information for writers

Submit your short story for consideration to be published on the website.

One story will be selected on a weekly basis for publication and the author will be paid $25.00. There is no limit to how often or how many stories writers can submit for consideration.

Guidelines for submission

Stories must be on theme; horror, supernatural, paranormal, spooky or weird.

Word length 2000 – 10000 words

Submissions must be the writer’s original work and unpublished.

Selection and Payment

One story will be selected on a weekly basis for publishing on the website for the benefit of readers. The writer will be paid $25.00 by Paypal for each published story.

Format

Your submission must be in plain text (.txt format) with Courier font, size 12pt, double spaced text and must include the title of your story, your name and any copyright notice you wish to include. Name the file ‘Your-Name_Story-Title.txt‘. Any submissions received formatted or filed in any other way will be deleted.

Terms

All writers retain full copyright of their work but agree that Steven Dark Entertainments will have exclusive publishing rights of any work selected for publication on the website or any other media for a period not less than six months.

How to submit

Complete the form below with your Name, preferred Username (Nickname which will be displayed on the site), email address with ONE submission attached as a .txt file. You can submit more stories later but only make ONE initial submission!

You will be manually registered on the site with the role of ‘Author’ and you will receive login details by email. Once registered, you may login and check the progress of your submission and make further submissions for review and consideration as often as you wish. You will be paid for each story published  and you will be able to view your submissions and publications in your dashboard.
